Muita gente não sabe a diferença entre "as" e "like" com o significado de "como". Veja estas duas frases:
He works as a lawyer. [as = na posição de]
He is a lawyer.
He works like a dog. [like = como se fosse]
He is not a dog.
Deu para entender a diferença? Veja estes outros exemplos:
I am treated as foreign in the United States.
I am a foreign.
We eat like kings at Mike's Restaurant.
We are not kings.
Ficou claro? Agora tente completar estas sentenças:
The president speaks ........................................ a real patriot.
Gregory goes to the ceremony ................... our representative.
My sister is crying ....................................................... a child.
That's it. Take care y'all.
